Stacy Garcia - Chief Executive Officer
Her journey as a leader and as an individual has been profoundly shaped by the stark realities she witnessed throughout her life. Growing up, she observed family members, friends, and neighbors grappling with circumstances beyond their control, often lacking the knowledge and resources to break free from the cycles of adversity. The personal impact of this struggle hit home when her father and brother spent considerable time entangled in the justice system.
During her teenage years, her father's sentencing to 17.5 years in prison marked a turning point. His release was marred by severe challenges in reintegrating into society, and tragically, in 2018, he succumbed to the immense pressures, taking his own life. Compounding the family's ordeal, her brother faced an even longer incarceration just a month before their father's tragic end.
This profound personal experience fueled her commitment to addressing the systemic issues surrounding justice-involved individuals. Witnessing the struggles they face post-incarceration—barriers to housing, employment discrimination, and societal skepticism—highlighted the urgent need for comprehensive support. Individuals, burdened by criminal backgrounds, encounter substantial challenges in rebuilding their lives, often leading to a cycle of recidivism.
Motivated by a desire to break this cycle, she embarked on a mission to offer essential resources for those seeking a fresh start. Recognizing the pivotal role of stable housing and vocational training, her leadership is guided by a commitment to providing the tools necessary for a successful reintegration into society. By addressing the root causes of recidivism and offering a path towards stability, her journey as a leader has been shaped by a personal conviction to make a meaningful impact on the lives of justice-involved individuals.

Jailin Harris-Putulin - Marketing Manager
Jailin Harris-Putulin proudly serves as a key member of the team at Rehabilitation of the Heart. Her passion for offering second chances to ex-offenders and aiding in their reintegration into society stems from deeply personal experiences that have shaped her worldview.
Throughout Jailin’s life, she’s borne witness to the harrowing effects of drug addiction and alcoholism within her own family. These struggles were not distant tales but tangible realities that shaped her upbringing. Amidst these challenges, her father, a figure of both resilience and vulnerability, grappled with the revolving door of the criminal justice system. His journey, marked by setbacks and fleeting moments of hope, instilled in her an unwavering belief in the power of redemption and the inherent humanity of those who have stumbled along life's path.
It is this belief that propels Jailin forward in her commitment to Rehabilitation of the Heart. We firmly hold that every individual, regardless of past transgressions, deserves the opportunity to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society. Every day, Jailin is inspired by the resilience and tenacity of those who courageously navigate the journey of reintegration. Their stories serve as a reminder of the transformative potential inherent within each of us, regardless of past mistakes.

Taj Mahal - Community Liason Director
Taj Mahal is a native of Polk County, a philanthropist, and a mindset coach. At an early age, he was exposed to violence, drugs, hustlers, and thieves; which ultimately led to him reflecting the very things that contribute to the degradation of our communities. A country boy, who often times saw more adversity than opportunity; he failed victim to the system, homelessness, and despair.
One of his favorite quotes is, "I know what it feels like to be in the trenches, but I also know what it feels like to make it out: Because the only way out is within."
Operating as the Community Liason Director for ROTH, he's forged together meaningful partnerships that will assist in reducing recidivism, restoring those that have been depleted, and breaking down generational curses for many years to come.
He believes our pain should be used as a defining moment: it should not define the rest of our lives. For We Are not products of our environment, our environments are a product of us.
